Bone detection and grading in one

The SensorX bone detection system performs weighing using X-ray. The SmartSort is a discharge unit that can be positioned after the SensorX bone detection system. Together, the SensorX and SmartSort, with its unrivaled small floor footprint combine X-ray bone detection and grading in one compact solution.

The compact grading solution

The SmartSort gently diverts product into a crate, box or combo, or onto a conveyor based on weight. It uses the weight information from the SensorX so there is no need for a dynamic weighing unit. The SmartSort requires less product separation than a traditional grader, so it can perform grading at slower speeds, without the need for a speed-up belt. All in very compact form with small footprint.

Monitor and improve performance

The JBT Marel Software solution for SensorX SmartSort lets you monitor and control your processing in real time. The software provides live dashboards showing data for key performance indicators such as throughput, infeed quality and bone rate. They give you a clear overview of actual production so that you can monitor and compare quality between process lanes, shifts and lots. This allows you to quickly and easily implement improvements where necessary to secure high quality products.

Get operational insight 

Historical data on all throughput is collected and stored in the software database. Standard reports can then be created giving you an insight into operational performance on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. It also gives a clear overview of multiple SensorX lines in one systems.

 

Infeed Monitoring

Infeed Monitoring is available as an additional feature, designed to maintain a singulated product stream for the entire fillet line. It includes both software and hardware, such as a 'traffic light' system that signals the quality of the infeed. Infeed Monitoring has five adjustable detection fields, displayed on the screen: product orientation, product presence within the scanning area, product alignment in the middle of the belt, product spacing, and product thickness (to detect overlapping or folded products). While Infeed Monitoring doesn't make corrections itself, it helps line operators improve their positioning of fillets over time.

OneFlow

Adding OneFlow to the SensorX SmartSort organizes the flow of products on the conveyor belt after operator handling. This key logistic solution combines software and hardware. The ‘dropper’—a product-holding tray positioned above the belt—plays a crucial role, functioning as a buffer-and-release bin. Up to 120 fillets per minute can be handled, maintaining a consistent product flow.
OneFlow not only singulates the product flow, but also positions the products accurately on the belt, namely long side leading. In this way, OneFlow precisely organizes the infeed for downstream processes.
