StripCutter / Splitter

The JBT Marel StripCutter is an easy-to-use portioning machine that cuts fixed-sized portions at high speed. The portioning machine provides a range of cutting options as the StripCutter can cut products into strips, splits, steaks or diced portions.

The StripCutter is available in 600 and 1000 mm belt widths. You have a vast range of cutting options as a result of easy adjustment of both speed and product width.

Removal of keel from poultry butter­flies

For poultry processors splitting butterflies, the JBT Marel StripCutter offers great opportunities for removing the keel. The StripCutter solution shows increased yield results compared to traditional keel removal. As an additional feature it is possible to have the StripCutter automatically separate the keel into either a tub or onto a conveyor.

Full integration with JBT Marel equipment

The JBT Marel StripCutter is applicable as a stand-alone machine as well as compatible with other JBT Marel equipment. By placing a JBT Marel Portioncutter after the StripCutter the butterflies will be accurately cut to fixed weight.

Poultry tender downsizing

JBT Marel’s solution for tender downsizing is designed for poultry processing companies, producing big bird tenders. With the JBT Marel StripCutter and an I-Cut PortionCutter, JBT Marel o­ffers solutions with the importance of end product presentation in mind. The StripCutter produces perfect length and uniform size and shape on all tenders.

StripSplitter

The StripCutter can also be quickly and easily turned into a StripSplitter for splitting tenders, with only a few modifications.

The principal difference is that the belt runs straight through the machine, so that the products retain their position on the belt during cutting. There are also fewer blades on the shaft (max 4).
